Kingsgate Dental Practice originally opened its doors in 1946 and was taken over by its fourth, and current, owner in July 2014. All of the team have strong ties with Durham and the University, making us all extremely passionate about the area and the local people. We are proud to carry forward the practice’s personable family ethos that has been prominent throughout its history.

Born and raised in Durham, David is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (Edinburgh). David provides a wide range of dental treatments but is increasingly focused on his dental implant work.

Joanna qualified in 2011 and joined the team at Kingsgate in 2022. Joanna provides a wide range of dental treatments, specifically enjoying Root Canal treatments, and offers a wide range of aesthetic treatment that includes: anti wrinkle injections, treatment for hyperhydrosis, lip fillers and fat dissolving treatments.

Rob qualified in 2011 and sits on the Northern Divison board of the Faculty of General Dental Practice. He especially enjoys providing lifelike dentures as well as straightening smiles with Invisalign and fixed braces and is currently finishing his post graduate Orthodontic Diploma.
